DESCRIPTION:St Kilda Brass with conductor Shane Foster\n…something borrowed\, something blue. \nFather Hugh Bowron welcomes Shane Foster\, conductor of St Kilda Brass back to St Peter’s Caversham.\nWe are delighted to announce the return of St Kilda Brass to St Peter’s Caversham as part of their winter Afternoon Concert Series.  Last year a capacity audience enjoyed a mixed programme under the baton of Shane Foster\, former soprano cornet player with the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band.  This year promises more of the same.  The repertoire encompasses traditional and contemporary numbers\, Glen Miller to Rachmaninoff.  The concert will also feature several of the band’s soloists including one of New Zealand’s finest cornet players\, Dunedin’s own John Lewis.  The afternoon concludes with an opportunity to meet the band and conductor over tea and coffee in the church lounge.
