And the Saints go marching on…
For 125 years, St Kilda Brass has been part of the soundtrack of Dunedin—on the march, on the contest stage, and at the heart of the community. In 2026, we’re bringing generations of players, supporters, and friends back together to celebrate that legacy—and to look ahead to what comes next.
Whether you played one rehearsal, one season, or a lifetime with the band, this weekend is for you.
Registration form – let us know you’re coming along.
A Brief History
Founded in 1901, St Kilda Brass has grown from a local community band into one of New Zealand’s most respected brass ensembles. Over the decades, the band has built a strong reputation for:
- Contest success at regional and national levels
- Developing generations of musicians
- Supporting youth and training bands
- Being a constant presence in Dunedin’s musical and community life
Through changing times, different bandrooms, and countless uniforms, one thing has stayed the same—the people. The friendships, the sound, and that unmistakable St Kilda spirit.
125 years on, we’re still playing. And still marching forward.
The Invitation
If you’ve ever worn the uniform, sat in the bandroom, or marched under the St Kilda banner—this is your invitation.
Come back. Catch up. Enjoy the sound. Share a story. Meet old mates and new faces.
No pressure. No expectations. Just a great weekend with good people.
